The Maverick German Shepherds’ mission is to provide the world with the impressive old-fashioned German Shepherd. These are the German Shepherds that you don’t see everyday and look totally different than the ones that are used for Dog shows. These German Shepherds have a heavy bone structure, straight backs, and are intimidating by their sheer size. A standard German Shepherd male will not reach a 100 lbs., but the average female Maverick German Shepherd will be larger than 100 lbs. The goal is to have a healthy, family friendly, X-Large German Shepherd that is trainable to its natural protective nature or can be a couch potato, if that’s what you want. Maverick German Shepherds is a family-ran business. And when we say family we aren't talking about owned by a family for generations, we mean that these dogs and pups have been raised with the help of our children, teaching the pups to be loving and protective from birth. We work hands-on with the dogs daily and they get to venture around fields and have freedom beyond what most kennels provide! We raise them with quality so that they produce quality. We want our beautiful pups to be valued and go to their fur-ever homes with loving families who will appreciate the loyalty and temperament a German Shepherd contains. One thing amazing about German Shepherds is that they are great for work, play, or rest, depending on the kind of pup you desire of course! They are highly intelligent and show loyalty and discernment beyond what other breeds do as well.
The interest of breeding German Shepherds started from our own love of these beautiful animals and how hard it was to find them, so now here we are. Our goal is to help the legacy live on for these giant German Shepherds by expanding the few good genetics still around with one of the only giant German Shepherd breeding companies in the Midwest United States.
